What would you like to hear Arnel sing?

Postby PianoMan1986 » Tue Jun 02, 2015 3:05 pm

I'm bored and just wanted a different topic on here. What are songs you'd like Arnel to sing with the band as far as shows go? With the residency in Vegas they did pull out some surprises to tease the diehards, but let's go beyond that.

Would love to hear that too, but I think the band is afraid it.

Would love Arnel to do some Revelation tunes such as When did I lose your love, Change for the Better, Sun Shower, After all these years...I think he excels at his own material why shouldn't he do it?

From Perry era, would love to hear him do Too Late.

Some ROR tunes, such as "Girl Can't Help It", I'll Be Alright, or WCTNGOF. Would also be cool to hear "If He Should Break Your Heart" or "Message of Love" from TBF.

Why would they be afraid?

I think they've never done it, despite the requests for many years from diehards. Maybe something with the technical side of doing it live? I don't know.

Some Bad English tunes would make sense since half the band is there. I think Arnel could do them justice too.

Sweet and Simple

When was the last time that was played live?

I guess I should've specified from the Journey catalog, although it would be interesting to hear a Bad English tune or two. To those who research, when was the last time (or tour) that they performed Troubled Child or Sweet & Simple? I know Precious Time was performed with Augeri around 2003 or 2004.

Sorry, I think only SP should sing that one...AP could not put the emotion into it that it needs.

Troubled Child has never been played in concert, unfortunately. Even if they had to use some backing tracks, it would be worth it

I've never seen Sweet & Simple on a playlist, or heard it on a bootleg from the Evolution tour timeframe. I don't think it has been played live, although I'm sure someone will correct me if so. Would Daydream suffice? I know they played that live in support of Evolution.

Something other than Journey. Do a Bad English reunion with him on vocals, then throw some Journey songs in with Deen singing. A good change.
