I think a Journey audience is a pretty tough gig for Neal Schon's solo music, but I think a set built from these songs from Schon's repertoire could work:

It's actually quite a good selection to choose from, and obviously more material than he could possibly perform as an opener. These are not necessarily all of his best songs, but they are very good songs and seem appropriate for the audience. If he mixes in a few vocals each night and some instrumentals from the above list, keeps them short and to the point with no extended jams, abridges some or puts a few together as medleys, he could have a very entertaining set for Journey audiences and maybe go far to promoting some of his solo releases.

Just what songs has he been playing? All Vortex or some other albums mixed in too?

Whenever I see Neal trying to make people refer to him as "Vortex," it reminds me of when George Costanza in Seinfeld wanted everyone to call him T-Bone.

"I'll Cover You" from Late Nite would be a great opener.

I'd love to hear some I on U stuff live.

That would be a pretty good set. NS Vortex isn't one of my favorites from the album and I'll Cover you isn't a favorite either, but you have a lot of variety and balance for a small set and I would definitely enjoy seeing this.

The Journey concert better be two hours if the "warm up" is only 31 minutes.
