Finally listened to Vortex

In its entirety, non stop. Very good effort by Neal. It might almost knock Beyond The Thunder out of the slot of my favorite Neal Schon solo release. A few more listens will tell. Diverse, melodic, technical and soulful, Neal was obviously feeling pretty inspired as he was creating this gem.

Standout tracks for me are:

Schon & Hammer Now
Triumph of Love
White Light

To me it's as if Neal combined his "Electric World" album with "The Calling." You get the exotic-ness of Electric World combined with the harder Rock of The Calling.
