Back in the days of great music on the radio. Especially tracks 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 10. Not that there's anything wrong with the others on the list.

We really did live at the best of all possible times, music wise. I wouldn't want to be a young person today, trying to find inspiration, or even gratification, in today's music.

And it wasn't all that long that music actually sounded full on recordings and could still sound modern today. Imagine the 50's or 60's. Much of that still sounds so....mono.

Speaking of that - anyone hear the new Elvis with the Royal Philharmonic. Really good stuff. They did an excellent job of it.

Yes. There was a survey recently within the last five or ten years of white teens, and the Beatles were their number one band. (For black teens, the Beatles were number three or something.) This shows they know good music isn't from today. :D

In reference to the listing with Wheel In The Sky....

I love tracks 1 2 4 6.
And I also like tracks 5 8 10.
I can tolerate track 9, even though I've never been a Bob Seger fan in general.

I would pass on tracks 3 & 7.

Who here DIDN'T have a parent who said the same thing about their generation of music vs. ours? Any Elvis loving grandparents out there?
