Great interview! Lots of good things to say about Robert F. this time. And interesting that Herbie says it was his wife who convinced him to replace Robert with SP. Certainly a very mellow sounding Herbie on this interview!!
Wouldn't we all love to see some of those videos he has of the band, starting at the very beginning!!

We have to take the timeline in perspective. The '83 interview was during Journey's peak fame as a band. Herbie was their manager then; of course, he would never say anything that make them look bad. We know from experience, details of events tend to change in later years, so one should take with grain of salt, no matter who is(was) doing the talking. In the 2000's, Herbie was pretty nasty with his comments. But, then, in his more current interviews, he again has mostly nice things to say.

Great interview! I always thought a great reality TV show would be showing a band making an album, and Herbie here says they have it of Journey! That would be the best reality TV show ever! It would be fascinating.

I love how Herbie says the Rolling Stones and the Who and the Eagles are long gone, but they are still going today! :D
