Santana

Santana is preparing to release their highly anticipated studio album titled Santana IV, on April 15, 2016, but we're getting a taste of what to expect with the record's first single, "Anywhere You Want To Go," right now. We are bringing you the exclusive iHeartRadio world premiere for you right here for you to stream.

"Anywhere You Want To Go" is destined to become a Santana classic, with its Latin cha-cha rhythm, and unmistakable guitar riffs. The song was written by Gregg Rolie, who plays keyboard and sings lead vocals for the band.

About Santana's upcoming album in 2016 Santana IV

Santana IV is an exciting album for Santana, because it reunites members of the band's early '70s lineup consisting of guitar icon Carlos Santana (guitar, vocals), Gregg Rolie (keyboards, lead vocals), Neal Schon (guitar, vocals), Michael Carabello (percussion) and Michael Shrieve (drums) for the first time, in over 45 years, since the band's 1971 album Santana III. Santana IV will include 16 brand new songs.

The album is currently available for pre-order sale on Amazon. Also, for anyone who is attending Santana's upcoming Luminosity tour, a copy of Santana's IV will be included with every air of tickets. The offer will be redeemed via a promo code at MusicRedemptions.com.

What do we think?
A little bored by it.
Sounds like they took the melody of Oye Como Va and replaced the lyrics.
Hope the other tracks raise the stakes.

Well when listening to it, you can definitely tell it's Santana.

definitely the Santana sound, mixed with laid back lyrics. not great, but not bad. Needs more guitar and more organ. Drums are great and definitely not the "pop" sound Santana became.
Was hoping for something more that rocked. Hoping this is not the first single.

thanks for the link.

I liked it - exactly what I was hoping for. It sounds like it was made forty years ago, which means it sounds authentic.

I think it's a killer song and a great single to lead off. I don't get the Oye Como Va thing at all, other than both tunes sound like Santana. Actually, before this was a Santana song it was a Greg Rolie tune from a couple years back:

I also love the fact that Neal knows whose moniker he is recording under and his playing is great but subdued, fitting perfectly with Santana's easier more laid back style of playing. Neal never lets his ego get out of control when he is playing with legends and I respect that.

Nice to hear Gregg's voice again. This album should raise Neal and Gregg's profile in a big way.

Definitely a classic Santana sound. What a treat to hear Gregg singing again!
