I can't find the trailer in the link. Probably because unavailable in my region, but I pre-purchased Santana IV on Amazon and was surprised to find the new single in my library!

Love the new song even more than the first one. Slow, moody, atmospheric, Killer guitars throughout, and a very good Rolie vocal. Schon and Santana blending on this one to the point where there are parts I wasn't sure which one was playing.

Blues Magic is.... just okay. Kinda contrived. Maybe it's a radio edit and the long form version on the album will pull it all together and be more inspired. There's a huge difference between the teaser track and long form for Anywhere You Want to Go.

Watching the "Making of..." video, the background music sounds really delicious. Can't wait for this release and really, really hope I can travel to see them co-headline in person.

Based on that "Making of..." clip, Neal seems re-energized to be collaborating creatively with his peers. Hope the cd is a monster.

Are there any contemporary singers on this record? The genius of Supernatural and Shaman was the pairing of Carlos w/ Rob Thomas and Michelle Branch (among others) that gave Santana mainstream appeal. Think about Lady Gaga or Katy Perry trading licks with the likes of Carlos & Neal. THAT would equal "monster."

Umm, you do realize this site is called melodic rock, right? Gaga or Perry sounds like a fucking horrible idea.

Pardon me, Capt. Narrow-Mind. First of all, Gaga has one of the most truly powerful voices I've ever heard. I didn't say Taylor Swift, for example, who -by the way - has enjoyed way more crossover appeal that she deserves (see Def Leppard/Crossroads). And as for Katy Perry, her strongest musical influence - by her own admission - is Queen. Her first album (released under the name Katy Hudson) was produced by Glen Ballard - who did Alanis Morissette's Jagged Little Pill. At heart, she is a rock artist.

For me, a monster album comes down to the players. Not cameos by disposable pop starlets. Gaga has good range. Nobody denies that. Katy Perry is trash.

But in fairness, Katy Perry's tits sound awesome.

That was GreggR. on vocals? ... I like it! Are there more songs with vocals on this album?
Love the old Santana radio singles, with GR's voice. This new song is very reminiscent of those songs.

The first single, Anywhere you want to go, also has vocals by Gregg and sounds very cool and classic Santana sound. Gregg wrote that one. 8)
