I just saw Journey in Tampa, and it was a great concert. Probably the best one I have seen out of the 5 I have been to. Neal has really cut back on his overplaying and is more melodic. Anyway, During AWYWI, John came out to rock the 12 string while someone took over the keyboards. Who is this dude? https://youtu.be/SSx9jy1GUHI?t=7m52s

To me Neal never does "overplay."
I find it disappointing if Neal is in anyway cutting down on his guitar playing.
Journey need to Rock more in concert!
Neal should be playing his guts out each night.

The Journey concert in my area is only about two weeks away, and I haven't even bought a ticket yet. I have never missed a Journey concert in my area over the last 18 years or however long it's been that they've been touring again since the reunion. But I am having a hard time justifying paying over fifty bucks for a lawn ticket just to see them play the same "boring" set that they've been playing for years now, loaded with ballads or other lighter songs.
Journey need to Rock more, and Neal needs to be the leader.

Thanks. That is interesting.

Don't get me wrong, I love journey to rock, and they still are(maybe not as much as from the Manila DVD) but it is nice to hear some individual notes instead of a jumbled mess.
