So on the home page, there is Drew's announcement about a Tyketto annivesary project. I've never been clear about what Augeri's involvement in this band was. Was he a singer at some point? And why isn't he doing this reunion?

Was the lead singer for 1 year (or less) 1995? and sang on the CD Shine, a few good tunes, but nothing like Tall Stories.

as mentioned, Augeri was the lead singer for the Shine cd. Danny Vaughn did the first two cds, and is back with the band now. Shine doesn't sound anything like the Danny Vaughn cds, and the word I've heard was that it wasn't even supposed to be released as Tyketto. It's ok for what it is, but it doesn't sound like Tyketto......and Augeri is about the last person I'd ever pick to replace Danny Vaughn. The two singers couldn't be more different.

As stated, it was a different project that was not supposed to be Tyketto, but the record company (or someone in the business) said it had to be Tyketto... Or something like that.

Both cds are good, but I did not care for the production that much on Shine, Tall Stories sounds better produced.

Chalk that up to marketing. Costs a great deal to market and bring awareness to a new band. Less so for one with a built in fan base.
Bad Company had the same problem when Brian Howe stepped in for Paul Rogers. The band didn't want to call themselves Bad Company, but the record company forced them to for the same reason.
