HubieG wrote:Hi, all,
I've done some work with Ron South on his excellent Journey tour archive (http://ronsouth.blogspot.com/p/tours.html) and am just now digging into the Steve Perry 1994/1995 solo tour.
As I research the trek, I am learning that more than a few dates were either postponed, often times more than once, or cancelled. At least a few were postponed and then cancelled, particularly those at the end of the tour.
At any rate, I am slowly but surely sifting through the news archives online and have found a good bit of info, but wanted to see if anyone here might add their 2c if they happened to catch one or more of the Strange Medicine shows, particularly along the lines of cancellations, postponements and/or opening act info.
The shows I have so far, some of which aren't yet verified with reviews and, thus, may be wrong, are below. Thanks, in advance, for your help!

I didn't even remember there being an opening act. Though I don't doubt that there was. The name Sass Jordan does sound slightly familiar.

Local radio reported that SP got sick after this show and had to postpone/cancel the remainder of the tour.

Actually, I found a story on these boards about a fan who attended the show. Anfiteatro Tito Puente is listed as the venue and Mar 22 as the date at Setlist.fm, which is usually pretty accurate. I'm going to change the Houston show to PR for now.
If anyone else knows who opened (if anyone), or other details of the PR, or any other shows, I'd love to hear from you.
Thanks for all the input so far. Very helpful!

I was all set to go to the Charlotte NC one, and then spend the next day driving to Charleston to see him down there. It was just a couple of days before the dates when these were canceled, as I recall. Very sad - but thankfully I saw him in November 94 in St. Petersburg. Saved this...
