Was at this show last year (not my video). Was beyond incredible.

The night was a tribute to Buddy Rich and he played the original [whatever you call drum sheet music]. Misically, it was one of the best shows I have ever seen. Got to meet and talk with him. Not long, but it was cool.

Cool video. The song is Nutville. Steve's played that a number of times with Buddy's Band, including the Buddy Rich Tribute concert from '91(ish).

I know that so many people are happy to see him playing with Journey again, and that he's lighting up the stage with his La Do Da drum solo...but IMHO he is so much more in his element playing this kind of music. He just seems more alive and into it.
