I had not yet heard before what Steve talks about in this interview. About what happened to him when he was nine...

Great interview. So weird that she opened with that Brian May blog post. I still remember reading that right after it was published and the punched-in-the-gut feeling it brought with it. So very glad to see Steve Perry opening up and revealing so much more about his life. It must take a lot of courage.

It's nice to get an interviewer that actually appears to know something about him and his history and didn't only focus on 'Dont Stop Believing'.
The song cannot be ignored, but as we all know, Steve and the Band are about so much more than just that song.
The guy didn't come to the UK after the 70's Journey gigs and we get very little news about him over here.
No radio play of anything other than Don't Stop Believing - so that New Statesman interview was very welcome. It even mentioned the hip problem!
This journalist obviously has some knowledge.
And this mention of something happening when he was nine is new to me.
He opened up to her. Very interesting.
If he decides to bring out a memoir, maybe this interviewer could write it for him.
The BBC Breakfast interviewers had no clue and just conducted a thumbnail interview that gave us nothing. Pathetic effort when it's been so long since we've seen or heard him.

Very good read. Seemed to know how to tell a story to keep you reading. Hopefully there will be a second part on the new release itself.
