Deceptive post title. More likely the venue made the ad - NOT Augeri.

Not necessarily. The actual band, Journey, had ads like this and had to address it several times. Artists can't control every micro-detail.

Yea - I think that's a venue thing. At least I hope so. Otherwise, ish.

Like TNC said, either a venue thing or something similar. Augeri likely has no say, even if he wants to have say in it.

At least he was a "former lead singer" for Journey. unlike others
Augeri won me over in 1999 seeing him live with Journey.
And in all interviews, stories, ect he always came across as a class act.
I guarantee this promo was not from him. I love it when he said it was so hard to be compared to the best singers in Rock and Roll hitsory.
I saw him 5 or so time with Journey, should of been six as I had tix for their concert in nowheres MN (actually Morton) in 2002-3ish?
Which was cancelled to to extreme weather (heavy rain, 80 mph winds, and a tornado)

It was a 2 hour drive so I decided not to go because the weather. (It was outdoors)
I heard later that Augeri, and other members of the band came out to meet the fans afterwords. Class move.

I was also happy to learn that my money was reimbursed. , but still sad cause it would have been my last concert with Augeri
But I did see them 1 more time with JSS

It's the promoter that usually runs the show...rents the venue, hires the artist, and if necessary, advertises. Many venues today, especially casinos, have their own in-house promotions team. Management handles the contracts, and the artist just shows-up to play. Augeri probably had no idea.
