Cain's main focus, however, will be making some new Journey music, the band's first since 2011's Eclipse, which he predicts will be an EP rather than a full album just to "break the ice" after the long gap. It's worth remembering that Revelation also started out as an EP. Neal will prolly try to convince Cain to make a full LP - or they will go the Red 13 route. Either way, according to Neal they will be out before the Pretenders tour that starts in May.

I am guessing while doing their song writing sessions just Jon and Neal, that Neal could be messing around with the guitar and Jon could say, "Wait. What was that? Let's write a song around that." If this happens enough times, the EP turns into a full album.
