He sounds great on this, nails the notes and his voice fits very well on this tune!

Just another reason they should've made a go with him fronting the band.

That was one I begged to add to the set, a bucket list song I'd wanted since I started with them...I couldn't wait to eventually sing Patiently, Stay Awhile, Someday Soon, Good Morning Girl...so many I fantasized about singing!

Hey Jeff, always cool to have you visit and post! Hope things are well with you and the family.

You had to beg to do that song? Crazy, although somehow not surprising -- would've been awesome on the other tunes mentioned too. Like any performance be it your time with Journey or any of your projects, you always deliver this power and control, coupled with emotion and energy that is something you just can't explain. I'm glad you were able to get that song in and I'm glad I was able to see you tour with them -- you can't deny those performances as there was a new energy on-stage and you were out there kickin' ass and takin' names on the stuff -- all to rave reviews! To try to wrap up my rambling here -- 1) I think it would've been a great shift for the band had you guys done stuff in the vein of "Believe In Me" (awesome tune!) and 2) You're doing what you want to do now and I have no idea what Journey plans for the future, but with the experience you had is it safe to assume it's a no turning back situation, or a never say never if circumstances changed and the opportunity arose?

Not the greatest mix, but just goes to show that it didn't matter if it was a deep cut or a post-Perry tune

Thanks for weighing in JSS!
Always appreciated how you made a concerted effort to connect with Journey fans of all eras.
Look forward to seeing SOA in February.

This YT channel has JSS doing 'Faith in the Heartland' also. Very cool.

I know I posted this in another thread, but thought it should resurface here. Still leaves me scratching my head -- enthusiasm, jokes, excitement..?

I understand how you would be thrilled to sing Journey with Journey. No question about that at all.

But, when Journey left you and you come out with the WET albums, does that not also thrill you to be able to put out something so high quality without an iconic name like "Journey" attached to it? Doesn't it give you a "even if I'm not there...I can still do this..." to it? Because, honestly, Journey hasn't released anything to match those albums, IMO.
