Into The Night

Postby JourneyHard » Tue Mar 10, 2020 12:13 pm

On a lark, I googled searched for Journey New Album 2020. And it gave me the results of "Into the Night." It says it was released January 27, 2020. It looks like it could be a concert album from 1981.
Here is the track list:
1. Escape/Where Were You
2. The Line of Fire
3. Don't Stop Believin'
4. Stone In Love/Keep On Runnin'
5. Lights/Stay Awhile
6. Do You Recall/Loving You is Easy
7. Drum Solo
8. Too Far Gone <------Jonathan Cain on lead vocals for a rocker!
9. Too Late
10. Who's Cryin' Now
11. Wheel In The Sky
12. Lovin, Touchin, Squeezin
13. Any Way You Want It

This is a bootleg concert from the Escape tour. It's not an official release from the band.

It is very good quality because it was broadcast live on the radio in Chicago. The intro to "Who's Cryin' Now" is pretty cool, basically Perry telling a bit of a story of how the song was written while Jonathan plays in the background. "Too Far Gone" is a Jonathan Cain solo song.

It's definitely not "new", it's been around a long time...but worth having.

Very cool if they did Do You Recall/Loving You is Easy on the Escape tour.
Too bad it wasnt filmed for the 1981 Houston DVD.

Too far gone is actually a Baby's song with Jon on lead.

15 yrs back, after "discovering" Journey's music (again) from their heyday, I started collecting (fan trading) bootlegs. Lots of ESCAPE tour cds. Do You Recall/Lovin You is Easy was in regular rotation in all their shows.
