AXS TV "Rock Legends"

Not sure if this was talked about here but Journey was featured on AXS TV's "Rock Legends". It's only a half hour show so it was a bit brief but a good summary of the band up to the latest lawsuits.

A few bits they did miss:
The Tron soundtrack
Dream After Dream
The soundtrack songs between Frontiers and ROR
The box set
JSS

A few thumbs ups...
Briefly talked about firing of Steve Smith and Ross...and Randy Jackson replacing Ross.
The bits about the early Journey and background...even touching briefly on Tickner and Fleischman
They briefly mentioned Perry and Schon's solo careers after Frontiers, without any specifics.
They mentioned Bad English but not many details.
They talked about TBF and played some of "When You Love a Woman" video.
They actually mentioned Steve Augeri...Though they pronounced his last name wrong and did not go into much of how he got into the band, nor how he left.
They talked a bit about Arrival and Generation
They went right into Arnel after Augeri they called him the 'savior of Journey'.
They talked about both Revelation and Eclipse.
They talked about the HOF and Perry giving his blessings to Arnel.
In general, they had a lot of good video and still pics...they did rely heavily on the MTV Escape concert, tho...and the ROR doc for that time period.
At the end, they had nothing but good and positive things to say about the band. No critiques, really.

For such a short program, I think they did a great job. You can tell there were bits cut out after TBF and Generations...IMO.

Didn't see or hear about this at all. Thanks for recapping. Appreciate it. So much drama and crap has done on since VH1- BTM, it's good that there's another show documenting everything (sorta).

I think this may have been updated. I'm pretty sure I saw this a couple years ago without the RNRHOF info.

I Googled it. It looks like it originally aired a few times in October and November of 2018.

This was probably a re-airing of that show with the added info tacked on to the end of the new broadcast.

Yes, a quick Google shows it was released later in 2018. The HOF was in 2017 so I don't think it was edited in. It was also not tacked on at the end. The end was basically a sum up with a lot of praise saying Journey was one of America's greatest rock back, and that they are proof that they a band can go through many changes and survive because it is the music that really matters.

There was also a show with Sammy Hagar called something like "Rock'n Roll Road Trip with Sammy Hagar", or something like that. He had Neal guest but it seemed a bit non consequential. He asked Neal to tell the story of how he got into Santana, which everybody knows. He was performing with these guys when he was 14. He asked about a Perry reunion and Neal said he didn't think he would do Journey but was trying to get Perry to work on a solo album with him, which I know was talked about here before. Then they performed a song called "Personal Jesus", but I though Neal's guitar was not loud enough and you couldn't hear it as well as you should have.

It sounded nothing like this:
