Many that have heard the 7 fully mixed tracks are saying it’s dead on ringer for a modern day (Escape) it’s honestly that diverse - We’ve worked very hard for over a year during the pandemic on a total of soon to be 27 songs! The Way We Used To Be “Got to get Back” was the first one I came up with and it was a loop lol I really didn’t think it would be a journey song but happy it is. The attitude is what’s happening- Blues - great lyrics. Looking forward to playing in Chicago very soon thank you"

“The first song “The Way We Used To Be” came out of 1 of the many loops I’d written while the long downtime continued with the pandemic we all had to deal with. So utilizing my time and trying to keep fans in touch I started posting many jams and loops I created very quickly most every day. On “The Way We Used To Be” I laid down the keyboard loop with over-dubbed rhythm and a little blues lead guitar and sent to Jonathan. He sent it back very shortly after with demo vocals and lyrics and I said to myself with a smile - we’ve still got it!

I felt Jonathan nailed the lyrics and melody with haunting chorus “got to get back” - “to the way we used to be.” So this was the complete new beginning chapter for Journey - many more follow the same sequence with all of us collectively writing and working together. We now have over 26 songs that we’ve written and whittling it down to 10 or 12. We are very excited by all the new musical endeavors we’ve created together looking forward to getting back on the road to you.”

Neal has been saying that was the plan since the beginning. Get a grip.

I hope that it's at least 12 songs at minimum. There's no reason this day and age to not have at least 12 songs on a CD. I'd prefer more like 15 songs.

Or better yet, a double album.

I think I'd prefer the 12, 13 tracks then wait a few months and put out vol. 2. It worked for DDY.

Didn't they do 25 songs for Escape and used the ten best songs? I know they had La Raza Del Sol left over and had it as a B-side.
So, are there 14 other unused songs? If yes, I want to hear them!
