Highlights –

His solo album is being mixed. Tentative title is "7 Ways to Sunday."

After getting sick (possibly covid), he took 6 months off from singing.

Recently, he felt so good about his voice he had his band put Journey songs back in the original key. He had been performing them a semitone down.

Augeri says he gravitates more towards Journey songs that deviate outside of the lines like Kiss Me Softly and We Will Meet Again.

SA wishes he could have sang Every Generation instead of Jon. He thinks its a massively underrated song.

Those were key songs to lead Journey In a new direction but they never really followed through...

Maybe on a future Journey album they should do a remake of it with Arnel on lead vocals?

I'd rather not. I felt the few Augeri Era songs Arnel has re-recorded were far superior originally.

Yeah, I preferred the Augeri versions better too. But Pineda would probably be an improvement over Cain. I don't hate Cain's singing on it, but it would be better with a singer like Augeri or Pineda.

Maybe they should remake it with Augeri singing then.

Here's an idea:
How about a second box set to cover the years after TBF. Have Augeri do a couple extras like this. Release the JSS song for the America's Cup, and whatever else they may have, and whatever from Arnel. I'd be very interested in something like this.

Also, if they really wanted to sell it, they could release "Let It Rock You" and whatever other unreleased Perry stuff, including other songs from the Superjam (where "Good Times" came from). Oh, and Perry doing "Next" and some of the other early songs live...those were awesome.
