Wow, I would like to know if anybody sees this on TV....and what context (channel, show). I'm sure that is not cheap promo. Well, throwing it up on YT is cheap...but not TV time.

Somebody in the (mostly unbearable) Steve Perry group on FB said they saw it on MSNBC.

They are playing a song from the new Perry Christmas album at the store. He is getting better traction than Journey.

Sidebar: I don't know why everybody hates Christmas songs. They are about hope, love, and good will to all. There is nothing to hate about these songs. Also, the same theme is in most Journey songs.

This. I'm glad Perry's album is doing well. Good for him. As his fan, it doesn't mean I am obligated to like Christmas music or his versions of them. What an odd way to go about life.

Good point! And to think that someone (forgot who and not mentioning who either!) in this forum actually thought that's Steve watches everything Neal does. Its the OPPOSITE and always WILL BE!

That is true. But, we knew of Perry's release date three months ago. We had TWO singles. He held Youtube chats, listening parties....which were made fun of here. But, to his fans, they got the news out about his album.

What Journey has is one single that fans have panned as very mediocre or even bad. Journey is supposed to have an album out in three months...there is no official release date. The single is only played sometimes in concert. We don't even know the names of the songs.

But Drew, according to Neal, sometime earlier he had said JRNY'S album was projected to come out earlier than February. And they were supposed to have had their singles out by now. If I remember one per month.

Neal talks too much. It seems Perry has people in charge of promotion so he lets them set the agenda and he follows. He is also not silent when there is something to promote. Neal should learn from that.

They both follow each other. If they say they don't, they are lying. But Steve Perry is doing this as a hobby, and is doing a better job than Journey who is doing it for an actual job. Isn't that ironic?
