Couple of weeks back the Journey FB page said they were booked in some stadiums in 22. No details provided, just that comment.

Wonder who they are sharing the bill with.

It was somewhat of a defensive post. Someone in the comments about their Las Vegas residency said they were only playing small venues and gigs that they were limited to just a few songs. Whoever is moderating the page shot back about them playing stadiums next year. It was a bit tense.

I assume it's Neal or Lady M.

I don’t know why they keep wasting time entertaining those internet trolls, it makes them both look petty.

East Coast in Mid February? They cannot be playing big outdoor stadiums. They must be playing hockey arenas.

As for who they are touring with? Now that Ross and Smith are out of the band. They can reform The Storm and tour with Journey. The Storm can do the Gregg Rolie Journey material.

Journey can fill casinos and fairs on their own. To fill arenas, they need a co-headliner. As much as I love The Storm, they ain't it.

Journey/Styx would be solid

That would be a solid bill for arena shows but not stadiums.

That was the 2012 tour (along with Loverboy). I’d prefer something new… although that might not be possible after all these tours.

I think a Journey/Sammy tour would be my preference.

Yeah, that's what I assumed as well. A little later on (maybe the next day or so), the same mod posted that anyone leaving negative comments would be banned and/or deleted. Made a big deal about how they have millions of fans and don't need the negativity.

I believe M is running 99% of their social media.

It almost always a disaster when spouses start getting involved in band stuff.

How did I miss that tour? I went to every Journey show in Detroit area since 1998 except the more recent one at Comerica Park because I already saw them with Def Leppard. They must have been going to secondary cities in 2012. That would have been cool.

Sammy would be a good choice. Can Neal join Sammy for a few songs, too?

They need to do something a new and different, people will eventually get tired of the same carbon copy classic tours year after year.

Not the first time I'm afraid. One of Neal's exs, Lori Carpenter (I think?), was involved with the website and art design for Revelation.

Oh, please. BT was constantly kicking people off for critiquing the band. I was even directly warned to not be critical. This isn't anything new...it has been there the entire time that Journey has made themselves available on the internet. It's more of Neal's paranoia...and not their wives.

What do you mean "eventually"? It's already happening.

Throughout this history of the music industry, it has generally been a bad thing for bands when members’ spouses get involved in decision making and band business. Not just Journey. Neal is incredibly paranoid and delusional at times, but getting his wives involved doesn’t help matters.

I was responding to Archetype's comment regarding spouses getting involved in band matters. Lori Carpenter, Neal's ex before Salahi, was involved in Journey art direction. Prior to that, I am not aware of any examples.

As for BackTalk not allowing open criticism.....don't disagree. But that has nothing to do with spouses/partners etc.
