The only review out there. Obviously, one of the 2000 Journey fans at the concert :) At least she knows what she is talking about, most don't.

But, again, it's a rodeo first, concert second. Shortened set to 1hr, no encore, Reviews at the rodeo page say things like "Weird set list", "Only 1hr, missing a lot of big hits, I hated it." "No encore, missing Open Arms. Very disappointed." Along with the "No Perry, no Journey " comments (by trolls, I assume). It's changed a bit now...but it seems a lot of people vented their frustrations after the concert...they were very disapointed.

I know most of you will be UTTERLY SHOCKED... but Monker's lying about Journey these days.

The vast and overwhelming sample of comments from the FB page you cite range from positive to effuse praise.

No, your one sided grudge against Neal Schon isn't weird and yes, you should absolutely keep it up.

Great review. The vids I've seen have all sounded phenomenal.
'Nothing was bigger for Journey than 1981’s “Escape” album. “I have to attribute that to Jonathan coming in and joining the writing team,” Steve Perry (Feb 2012).'

I am not lying about anything. The first hours after that concert were split equally between people complaining about the one hour concert with a weird set list and no encore, and those who liked it. As I said, that changed...I think people were so upset that they wanted to vent.

It is absolutely true that this is a rodeo first. NOBODY plays for more than an hour. If you buy the ticket for the concert, you are wasting your money on a half concert. Journey does not sell 70,000 tickets anywhere...not even San Francisco....look up their next show.

One hour, weird set, no encore, abrupt ending where they walked off the stage....with the main event being a rodeo. That is what it was.

“It was a disaster… people were disappointed… it’s split equally… it’s changed a bit now…”

It just eats you up that they sounded great, the crowd loved them, and the very source you cited for reviews (Facebook) is overwhelmingly positive.

Keep nursing that hateboner.

Not really.

It's too bad you would rather talk about me than talking about Journey.

That actually sounds good to you guys? I didn't watch the earlier links. But, this sounds HORRIBLE. I didn't even get through DSB. The instruments are a muddy mess dominated by drums and bass. You can hear Arnel but that's not a good thing because he struggled from the start, rough voice, forcing notes he can't hit, etc. That was REALLY BAD.

Uh guys...I have to agree with Monker...I am sorry to tell you this but...Arnel...sounded HORRIBLE. And to make sure I am not be biased, I SEARCHED for videos that might show his vocal chops better, but alas...couldn't. I was hoping it would turn out better as he went through the songs but his voice is SHOT. I don't know WHAT you are hearing but the mix and Arnel's voice is horrible. It IS good to see them back on stage. Nice crowds though. But horrible horrible singing and sound management.
