Neal said April, but the new single's been dropped from the set list and I haven't seen Neal mention the new album on social media.

Anybody catch any update? Andrew?

The one that was supposed to be out last September but still isn’t? No. No updates.

I think the last thing that was said about this was Frontiers saying they were handling the European release of the CD this summer. No news about any US release.

Neal talked a lot about BMG so it is interesting that Frontiers is handling the Europe release....since BMG is an international company based in Germany.

The current tour should have never been named the "Freedom" tour...makes no sense at all, touring for an album that doesn't exist and playing no songs from that future album.

I went to the show at Staples Center and the BMG people were in the Chairman's Club when I was in there. They were talking with some Journey people...

At the end of the show, the music you walk out listening to is "Place in Your Heart" from the new record.

No, it's the 2008 Revelation version and it's been their post-concert outro music for at least 8 years. I remember hearing it as I left the arena in Nashville 2014.

Asked on Twitter for an update on the album release, Neal responded with:

"They keep on changing it but new singles to be release soon 3 of them before the 4th of July"

I’m hopeful and excited for a new album but I don’t know what to believe at this point.

Its all in Frontiers hands now...and I don't communicate with them at all.

But all releases for June have been announced, so at least July.

I am worried about the new album. If it is loaded as Neal keeps saying, why didn't they play at least one new song besides the song they already released in concert? If the album is any good, there must be a killer rocker on it. Play that in concert! Get the people fired up!
Are they worried Toto will steal the song and put it on their new album and release it first? I am confused.

According to Jon, they didn't want to tease any more new music. They want the album to remain a complete package.... They are not living in this Era but it's OK by me.

What they should do, right now, is release a single and anybody who buys it digitally get a free copy of the redo of Separate Ways....if they c a n get agreements from everybody to release it.

The Herbie Herbert documentary was supposed to come out April 15th, but that has been pushed back to September 15th. Maybe September will be a big month for Journey.

Or, maybe Sony could talk to Perry about reworking the entire song...because it feels unfinished. Then Sony could rerelease "Separate Ways" as Frontiers version, Stranger Things version, and 2022 version. IMO, they would have a huge hit.

The Stranger Things version is available on iTunes. The more I listen to it, the more it sounds like a cool mash-up of Separate Ways and the Halloween theme song.

I'm guessing this is a Neal tweet? Sadly, I got blocked (according to Neal it was when he was hacked, but he still hasn't unblocked me) so I can't see it. Help a brutal out?

Release party in Vegas with orchestra mid July.

Neal tweets that in July they will play four or five rockers from Freedom. That is probably all the rockers on the album.

Thank you. Interesting they play orchestra shows AND play several "rockers". Feels like July could line up with Freedom's release...
