Joey Belladonna Journey Tribute band

Postby TageRyche » Fri Oct 28, 2022 5:23 am

Anthrax singer Joey Belladonna is playing three East Coast dates with his Journey tribute band. I saw a video clip with the concert announcement and I was pretty surprised with just how good he sounded.

I'm not doing any comparisons or the like, I just thought he sounded really good.

(Of course, now I can't find the particular clip I saw).

I wasn't thrilled when Anthrax covered Keep On Running on their Anthems EP. Great choice of a song but didn't feel it with Joey singing. But that might also be because it was an Anthrax version...not a tribute band cover.

The heavier version that Schon probably wanted to begin with, but knew it wouldn't fly for Journey. Just a thot.
