Perry praises Harry Styles

I just saw a video of Steve Perry praising Harry Styles for selling out the Los Angeles venue for five nights in a row. Perry said the most he did with Journey was three nights in a row in Los Angeles. (In Detroit, Journey would sell out shows for a whole week.)

Anyway, why is Perry saying nice things about Harry Styles? Does Perry want to be the warm-up act? It sounds like the perfect gig for Perry at this stage of his life. He could sing eight or nine songs and not overdo it. He could practice 16 songs with his new band, but then mix up the set list every night and have some fun with it.
