Exactly what I thought...staying out of it and showing appreciation for all sides.

Also, wise words about rejoining the band....and very open and honest. Not to be critiquing Perry...but Perry has been in the same situation since at least TBF. He said similar things but I think Augeri said it better.

I've always been impressed with Augeri's character and way with words. He's a good guy, and interviews like this show that off pretty well. Like you said, complimentary to all sides but not giving favor to any of them is the only way to go with this band, especially at this moment in time.

Steve’s probably afraid he’ll get sued for playing Journey songs if he says something negative towards the band.

Blabbermouth tweeted about this interview in a misleading sensational fashion (Ex-Journey singer wouldn't rejoin group if asked). Neal used it as an opportunity to take a swipe, saying "He doesn't have to worry." He later deleted it. Imagine going after a guy as sweet as Steve Augeri? Unreal.

Well, IMO, anybody who Neal Schon knows has the potential of being sued.

There isn't an eyeroll emoji big enough for this.

Seriously Neal.....all these singers you're dumping all over are the ONLY reason Journey have existed since '98. Without them Journey doesn't happen. Maybe try being a little thankful for everything they've done for the band and what that allowed your bank account to accrue. None of them deserve all this crap since there are soooo many testaments to their genuine characters by many people that have interacted with them. Augeri (and JSS) might as well have not ever existed according to Neal's revisionist history even though they were instrumental in keeping this ship afloat, and the one rare time Neal acknowledges Augeri's existance its to shit on him.

Unreal indeed.

Or maybe he could actually read what SA said instead of just relying on a click bait headline to determine his outrage. If that even was him replying. I still contend a good percentage of the social media stuff is Michaele, not Neal.

Even if thats the case, Neal needs to tell her to ease off of all this. Arnel and Cain I can kinda see her having an opinion on things since she seemingly comes in contact with them a lot nowadays, but she has literally ZERO reason to ever chime in on Augeri since he so far removed from the shitshow she's probably never even said his name in her life. She really has no business spouting off about any band stuff dirty laundry in general, but here we are.
