Really great interview on rockrageradio. Recap below.

Steve said he recorded the title track when he was recovering from covid. He tuned it down and you can hear the "desperation."

Both him and Deen Castronovo would do compressed oxygen behind the drum kits during Journey shows just "to get their shit together."

He mentioned going to Steve Perry's vocal coach (Joel Something) at one point when he got the job.

When he first got the Journey gig, he would drive his mini-van across all 5 NY boroughs just doing warm-ups and learning the set.

He will be putting out another cd of some of the singles he has been releasing sporadically.

Top 3 songs of his career Wild On the Run, Higher Place, We Will Meet Again.

I mentioned to him that he needed the pout together all the singles released. Good to hear.

I don't understand what he means referring to him and Deen regarding the compressed oxygen.

Compressed Oxygen was a pretty famous groupie in the late 90s and early 2000s.

Perhaps for a quick hangover cure before the show, hence the "getting our shit together"? I understand that practice goes a long way in setting things straight again the next day.

Didn't Deen once say that he and JSS used to drink some sort of honey lemon grass thing all the time in 2006?
It's supposed to coat your voice for hitting all the high notes, no?

I still see compressed oxygen on the stage. I thought it was just an Arnel thing.
