Lady M as eloquent as ever...

"if Jon Cain and Arnel Pineda (now that fans know who the other guy is) and will not threaten Gregg and Neal with legal. Then yes. Prior Neal received a letter from CAIN's atty and the threats are pathetic. This is muisc. Neal and Gregg want to do music enjoy love , life and the Journey fans ! until they say they won't sue Gregg he won't come so they have to sign off legally Gregg is worried after seeing the emails. Keeping it real"

Reading between the lines, it seems Gregg doesn't like all the negativity in the band and wants to stay out of it. IMO, he probably said something about being sued and instead of taking responsibility for their own actions, they simply blame everybody else. Again, I wish Gregg could do an interview and comment on it. But, he probably is afraid of being sued, but not by Jonathan or Arnel.

So the "special surprise" in Austin that he tweeted about may not even be happening.
I'm sure none of us saw that coming.

I believe Lady M has since confirmed it's happening. Really can't keep track anymore of all the bullshit.

Which social media platform and which account? I'd like to see this crazy shit myself.

The N&M joint FB. I don't even follow them. It's at the point where fans just send me screenshots of the craziness all day long.

Does Friga walk off stage when Gregg comes on for his set?

Further, does Gregg stay for AWYWI? I assume so since it only lists Luke leaving the stage.

That answers that question.

Still incredibly dysfunctional though. I can't help but think that Herbie is just shaking his head saying "these two dumbfucks..."

Besides needing a class in remedial grammar, she also needs to find some class. They posted a pic on Instagram of the band traveling together on a plane, minus Cain and Arnel. Just a sad sad situation. It's also sad that Jason D is caught up in all of this, as I've heard he's an incredibly nice guy that isn't into any drama.

Luke joining them for Santana was fucking awesome. Just watching on YT, that's easily the highlight of the entire tour.

Agreed! It was nice seeing it all come together with Gregg, even for just for one night. I think they hit all of the expected sweet spots. Anything deeper would have gotten lost on a majority of the crowd.

I think they could split the set into 2, and do a good hour with Rolie. He can be part of Lights, LTS and Wheel in the Sky. And I'd love to hear him on harmonica doing Precious Time.

How good did Of a Lifetime sound? That end... MAMA. That's what I want from a Journey show!

Amazing! Thinking that all Neal has to do is...free the fro! Don't pay any attention to the grumblings; keep yourself free of any legal activity and just have fun! Enjoy the music and ho hum the grumblings!

I watched "Just the Same Way"...and Gregg is as gracious as ever. It sounded great. But, you have Neal and Gregg on one side of the stage and Jonathan and Arnel on the other. Hardly anybody even moves. You would think Arnel would want to go over by Gregg and sing. The stage seems oddly spread out. It's like two bands are playing who barely know each other.

The problem is that the 'grumblings" and legal activity are INITIATED by Neal and are publicized by Neal. If you could go back and eliminate the firing of Steve Smith and Ross, and Neal would have shut the fuck up and did as you say above, Journey would not be a daytime soap opera of weird accusations and lawsuits. You would also have the Escape lineup, without Perry of course, and even more of a legitimate anniversary line up. Journey is very exclusive now...and not inclusive as they would need to be to ask former members to join the tour. Neal has burned many bridges to become Journey's founder and leader.

It was very classy of Gregg to thank everyone including Ross, Deen, and Cain.

He left Smith out, but I'm sure just an oversight. He even thanked Aynsley. Pure class and graciousness. It's a shame there was a lot of bullshit to get here, because I really did enjoy seeing this.

There was bullshit about Neal wanting Gregg for the entire tour and allegedly being blocked by Cain/Arnel.

No proof that Cain/Arnel were against Gregg joining for one night or a few songs, as he has made an appearance or two in the past.

I don't recall him mentioning Arnel either, but he may have. He said a bunch of names and then said something like "and everybody else", He seemed to want to thank anybody involved with the band. He also said the fans were who mattered the the most saying, "without you, this place would be empty." He is very genuine. When I saw his solo show at a free concert at the fair years ago, at the end he asked everybody to get up and come as close to the stage as they safely could for the last song. I was standing maybe 5ft away - at most. That's why I just do not believe he would ever want to be in the middle of all of this arguing, lawsuits, and insults. Gregg has to be the member of Journey with the best character and values...and probably feels blessed to have been part of Journey, and Santana, and still able to record and perform to fans.

I strongly prefer DeenO over Smith. Vocals, energy, longest tenured drummer and no drum solo wasting a slot in the setlist. It’s a slam dunk for me.

I wish that they would have Deen do a drum solo at each show.
