Really fun show. They did the unreleased "Have a good time, tonight."

Did the band not do a sound check that day? Neal's incessant nagging of his stage board op is really distracting.

Thanks for sharing. There's a nice part at 1:28 in when Neal and Ross point at each other as founding members in a show of mutual respect. Can't imagine anything like that ever happening in the recent or current era.

Augeri was a good frontman and sang his ass off. Good to see these kinds of early performances of his. Sure he had his quirks, but I like that about his vocals.

Arnel has bigger range and hit those money notes better. Augeri brought his own bluesy musical identity and influences to the table imo. More engaging frontman too! Yes, his voice crapped out by 2003 or so. So what? It's a tough gig.

For the record - I like them all (Augeri, JSS, Arnel)! This is not a hate post!

Yep. When you really think about it, Journey never really missed at lead singer. They all brought their own personality and swag to the gig. Mismanaged at times, sure, especially Augeri, but all were/are worthy. Still think Arrival is one of their best albums from start to finish.
