I love that they'll get big exposure but a short set and expensive tix isn't a big draw for me, personally...

Yeah I've seen them with Def Leppard enough. Have never had the chance to see Cheap Trick. But as you said, tix are gonna be pricy.

Only one of the third band per city. Heart OR Cheap Trick OR SMB.

Great exposure for the bands to play stadiums, but honestly I was hoping for something more geared towards the band's anniversary and longer shows, but maybe "Evening with..." tours are long gone. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed seeing them with Toto, but not enough to want to go see them again. It's one of many pipe dreams, but if it's going to be a tour with someone else at this point, it should be with Santana and have Gregg involved if he's willing to pull double duty between both bands along with Neal.

I’m not sure how they’re going to market the tour. 3rd time this two bands have toured together since 2006. Second time since 2018. So it’s not like they haven’t played together. I saw them in 06 and there were still quite a bit of seats available.

Good exposure for the bands.

My two favorite bands, hell yeah. Probably the only thing to get me to see Journey again, as many times as I've seen them and as much drama as has been there.

Anybody know if they'll be trading top spots as was the case in 2018?

Does anyone know ticket prices yet? I would imagine that it may vary based on venue/city? But if anyone has a general idea of ticket prices, please post it on here!

If anyone knows what the prices are for the Cleveland show at Progressive Field in specific, please let me know!

The price range looks like a couple hundred to a couple grand, as expected, for package seating. Rear and nose bleeds should be a little less expensive. Of course, pricing will vary from place to place. Part of that is how much the local promoter thinks the market will bear. And then the closer the show date gets, and seats aren't selling, there may be new promotional deals and reduced prices. Who knows.

later~

This seems to be the norm with every band anymore, basically the same tours every year yet people still buy tickets and sell out arenas and stadium ever tour.

I was at a Billy Joel concert with my wife a few years back. He said to the crowd at one point, "I haven't put out new material in 20 years and you all keep showing up to my concerts". At first I couldn't believe that he actually said that, but then realized he was dead serious and seemed to be laughing about it.

He wasn't wrong.

Let me guess the set list. Separate Ways, Only The Young, Star Spangled Banner Solo, Stone In Love, Ask the Lonely, Lights, Be Good To Yourself, Mother Father with Dean on lead vocals, Lovin Touchin Squeezin, Wheel In The Sky, Jon's Ballad Melody, Open Arms, Don't Stop Believin, Faithfully, Any Way You Want It

I bet they don't play a single song off of Freedom. What a waste.

BTW, this tour announcement was on Late Night with Seth Meyers. He said that Journey and Def Leppard had announced they were touring together next year. He made a joke and said, "Now you can go and watch the show on the iPad of the person sitting in front of you." And, showed a picture of a crowded stadium where you couldn't see the stage but the person in front of you was holding up an iPad and recording the show.
