NEAL SCHON has issued the following statement:

“Dear friends this message is to dispel any and all of the idiotic relentless rag mag bullshit articles coming from ex managers about me replacing ARNEL or ARNEL leaving the band.

We are better than ever!! We All look forward to seeing you this year!! Tour starts in a few days.

Much love and gratitude to you all.

Neal”

First rumors I’m hearing about replacing Arnel. Wonder where they came from.

A few days ago I saw a couple of recommended music pages on FB bringing up the old back and forth stuff from last year that was going on between Neal and Arnel on social media, so I'm pretty sure thats what this is about. Just the old news being reheated and served again. While drama seems to never be far away in the band nowadays, it does look like everyone has kissed and made up for the time being at least. Even Jon and Neal seemed like they were all smiles together in the pics from the NFC Championship last weekend, which was a nice thing to see after all the mudslinging and litigation.

It was posted on The Noticeboard here at MR.There were also at least 2 Facebook posts from seemingly working (or wannabe) musicians sharing similar rumors. Someone on the MR Noticeboard said the source was a writer at Fireworks rock magazine. The rumor said that current Skid Row vocalist, Erik Gronwall, was set to be Arnel's replacement.

Now, Erik is very talented. He has posted excellent covers of alot of material - including Journey. But his health issues have caused Skid Row show cancellations. For that reason alone, I did not give the rumor much credibility. Jon and Neal need their singer to be a touring machine.

What "ex manager" is Neal talking about? The only Journey contact I ever saw posting about Arnel was Lady M from year.

Neal is paranoid. He blames Azoff for everything that doesn’t go his way.
