Kelty has some of the worst stage presence I've ever seen, even notwithstanding him trying to imitate Perry.

Why film an outdoor, daytime show where the audience, save for one drunk dancer, is 30 feet away and seated? Then to be that mediocre on top of it all?

How anyone thinks this will make them look appealing is beyond me.

The multiple Perry outfit changes, including the FTLOSM outfit which had nothing to do with Journey, was distracting and a bit weird.
It takes away from the legitimacy of the performance.

Cover band signers like Kelty and Hugo trying to look and act like Perry on stage is an unnecessary gimmick too. I know that cover singers for other artist do it too but the look doesn't really matter as long as they can sing the songs well enough.

Exactly. Being an impersonator is one thing. It's not necessary when the music speaks for itself. It doesn't work here.

This and performances of other artists are broadcast live by the city of Springboro, Ohio. It isn't a production of the band. I do agree that Kelty should just be himself on stage. As far as quality of performance, Kelty's voice and the guitarist are spot on.

Agreed. I will take Juan Del Castillo of DSB any day when it comes to journey tribute bands. He doesn’t dress like Perry or copy his mannerisms nor copy his hairstyle etc. Just authentically himself with a voice that just happens to sound a lot like Perry’s. All the copy stuff kinda creeps me out. Lol
