I assume NS and some members will be supporting singing janitor, Richard Goodall. Would be better optics if the whole band was there.

I saw that online and thought what an odd phrasing. I'd suspect Cain won't be there.

Or, maybe "Neal Schon and Members of Journey" is his new spin-off band to take over where "Journey Through Time" left off.

I figure it is largely due to Arnel not being there. And I agree it’s likely Jon won’t be there. He would’ve had to share the plane ride to make it….

Is the idea that the "band" plays a medley and various contestants sing, ending with a short version of DSB where everybody joins for the ending chorus, along with non-singing acts doing their things in the other rings in the three ring circus?

This is one area where I give Neal and the rest of the band a lot of props and credit, they didn't have to make the 11 hour flight from Chile right after a show for this. I can understand Arnel not being there but it doesn't say much for Cain that he can't put his differences with Neal aside for a day to do this considering he co-wrote the two Journey songs Richard sang.

Any evidence that Jon skipped because of his "difference with Neal"? The band just finished a US and S. American tour. He probably wants to go home. Who can blame him? The other hired guns are probably afraid to say no.

I wouldn't criticize Cain or Arnel for not being there, but I do give Schon credit (or at least kudos?) for staying active and keeping the brand and band active. You may be right about Jensen and Derlekta, however, Deen-O seems to be like Schon and just wants to keep doing.

Maybe this is setting the ground work for next year's Steve Perry and the Members of Journey World Tour. This way Steve can say he is NOT part of the band. He didn't rejoin the band. He is just touring with them. That's all.

Or, a real approach could have been to have him join them on stage for this show for only a couple lines of a song. AGT would have ratings go through the roof if that happened, and Jon and Arnel may have joined them. It seems Perry is content enough with life to feel no need to do this though.

Cain and Pineda were not there but the rest of the band was.
