Following the recent announcement that his band would join Hugo's latest Journey touring project, Augeri has now addressed his own future plans (sorta). In a social media post made on 02-03-25, Augeri says he is at a crossroads and plans to tour for 1-2 years and maybe do one more album. It remains unclear who he would tour with. When he does appearances with Brett Michaels or John Payne, he uses their band.

While we all love Steve, there is no denying that the Journey catalogue was always a challenge and isn't getting any easier.

"I’ve had a pretty good run. After my mild success or at least a couple of valiant try’s with both Tall Stories and Tyketto, I had achieved better than most in the music business. Staring reality square in the face I put aside my dreams and picked my tool bag back up and went to work swinging a hammer for the Gap stores in Manhattan. Then came the phone calls and the big opportunity of a lifetime to sing for Journey and some of the finest songs ever written. Fast forward 25 years give or take and I find myself at the crossroads once again. I would however like to release just one more record and perform another year… maybe two. You all who have been with me through this time will always be a permanent fixture in my heart and soul. It’s to you that I will be forever grateful. Time marches on. Better to stayone pitch ahead than two behind of the count.
Keep the love in your hearts and share it as often and a generously as you can."

Thanks for sharing. We all owe him a lot, as does the band (which hopefully they realize). Not many could have convinced the masses that Journey without Perry could work.

Steve is a great singer and I never felt he got the widespread recognition that he deserved, Arrival is one of my favorite albums and I still have Tall Stories' debut album in my CD collection.
