Journey 1978 Chicago broadcast

Just a heads up. Journey's 1978 complete Chicago show was added digitally to YouTube Music. Don't know if other platforms has it but, it showed as a new release in YTM.

It's called Journey Mantra - The Classic 1978 WKQX Chicago Broadcast. It sounds fantastic

It sounds like a fantastic show from the clips I’ve heard so I’ll have to check that out.

I've often thought this show would be a great one to feature as an official release. The Perry backed "Look into the Future" alone is worth the price of admission. I wish they would have kept that in the setlist for this tour more often, but it is a long spot in the set. Very cool rarity!

Can somebody post a link to it? The closest I find is this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zl8odRg ... rt_radio=1

If that is the same show, it was released on vinyl to radio stations as a promotion for the Infinity album. JourneyHard posted another link to a version several months ago. I also have one of the vinyl copies of this. Yes, if Journey could get rights to this, they should release it on CD.

BTW, it looks like a lot of people have baked the tapes and put the KBFH Superjam on YouTube...this is the concert where "Good Times" came from in the box set. If you have not heard the entire concert, you should.

Nice, I wasn't aware of this show on promo vinyl from back in the day, cool background info! I remember when a half good quality, half muffled quality version was all I had heard of this show for decades until like a year or so ago when a pristine version showed up. I was so happy to get a upgraded quality version! Yeah if the band can obtain the rights this would be an excellent stand alone release, but being greedy I'll take it as part of a boxed set of a show from each tour. That'll happen, right? :)

Well, I can go to the link but it won't play for me.

When I bring up Journey's album list, it is not listed there. There is an Evolution radio show that I have a very old boot of on CD that I have not seen before. It's very good quality, too. I am wondering if Mantra is a future release or something. Maybe they do not have the rights to it but are working on it. Hope they are working on it.

Maybe it's a subcription thing, I do pay YTM subcription, so maybe is that. I do hope they release it as it was released on vinyl the Frontiers Tour through Juno Records (Europe). I think this is in the boot universe.
