JourneyHard wrote:The song Journey needs for their next tour is a brand new rock anthem. Come on, Jon and Neal. You can write it. It can't be five or six minutes long. It needs to be between three and four minutes long. Here is how the song goes. It starts with the chorus, and then verse one, and then the chorus again and verse two. Then straight to Neal's solo which is a thirty to forty second jam and then back to the chorus one more time and a harmonized abrupt ending. Then they can play the dirty dozen and this new song at the new tour and perhaps a few other deep cuts such as Escape and Chain Reaction or whatever. They have plenty of time to write this new song. The tour isn't until next year, but this new rock anthem must have the most catchy chorus ever. The song must be amazing so people at the concert say, "What the hell is this? This is the best Journey song ever. How come I never heard this before?" That's your challenge, Jon and Neal. I think you can do it!
What they should do is get together with Toto, or whoever they tour with this time, and write a song for the tour. Then release it for download and perform it in concert. Styx did this often before they started recording albums again. At least it is "something". Or, they could do the same with the song Jonathan said was already partly written...just finish it and release it for download for the tour.
But, with Neal focusing on Journey Beyond, I doubt very much that any new music will happen for Journey.
