Was it primarily the local promoters over there or is Sony(Japan) somehow still involved with the band, to a certain extent? Just curious, if anyone could shed some light on this....

I think Ichiro and Hideki Matsui talked to people in high places to get Journey to Japan...

Well...Sony recently released yet another compilation over there entitled: Open Arms Greatest Hits (or something like that?), which consequently ended up being the name of the Japan tour, so I was wondering if Sony(Japan) may have somehow been involved in the promotion, as well.
