Rush up for Juno award

Postby Angiekay » Fri Feb 09, 2007 1:53 am

Canadian classic rock didn't go unnoticed this week when the Juno Award nominations were announced, as Rush and Neil Young both were listed. Rush was listed in the Music DVD Of The Year category for R30, the two-disc package they shot in Frankfurt, Germany, on September 24th, 2004 during their 30th anniversary world tour. Young's Living With War was named in the Adult Alternative Album Of The Year category.

Also getting a nomination were Red Hot Chili Peppers, whose Stadium Arcadium is in the running for International Album Of The Year.

Rush's previous DVD, Rush In Rio, was named Music DVD Of The Year in 2004.
The Junos, which are the Canadian equivalent of the Grammys, will be held on April 1st in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Canadiens sure get a bad rap at times, but what they do appreciate is good music. They've got themselves a group of guys that bucked the system and were successful in doing so. All the music industry butt-brains in America are just pissed and jealous at them because they couldn't ride their coat tails and claim their success. F-U-C-K 'em!

Hey, Rock & Roll HOF and Rolling Stone Magazine, this big brown trout's for you!
