What songs do you want to hear this tour?

I really hope they play Manhatten Project or Marathon from Power Windows. Haven't heard those in forever.

Anything but Closer To The Heart.

I love ALMOST everything they've put out, but some songs have just got the crap beat out of them due to overplay. Luckily, some DJ's have woke up and realized that Rush has actually made more music than what was put out on the first side of Moving Pictures and the first song off of Permanent Waves. Idiots!

Personally, I've been pleased with the last two tours breaking out the archives. "By-Tor" and "Between Sun and Moon" was a real treat on the VT tour as was "Between the Wheels" and the "Hemispheres" riff on the R30 tour. I've always been praying for them to play a riff of "The Camera Eye" during a medley, but I just don't ever see it happening.

For a whole song, I guess I'd love to see them do the entire first part of "Hemispheres" as well as "Virtuality" from T4E.

Sounds like another thread coming up... :D

I'm more of a vintage fan...

I'd like to hear the following rareities added
(slim chance, but nonetheless):

-Anthem
-Bastille Day
-In the End
-Circumstances
-Entre Nous
-The Analog Kid
-Marathon
-The Pass
-Cut To The Chase

And since Ged said they may play "roughly 6-7 new songs"
from the new record, I hope they are:

-Faithless
-Spindrift
-The Way The Wind Blows
-Malignant Narcissism (instru.)
-The Main Monkey Business (instru.)
-Far Cry

Great tune... got to see them play that on the MOVING PICTURES tour, and I remember being bummed because WITCH HUNT was
not played from that record while everything else was. Fortunately, I got to see them play that a few tours later in '86.

I'm gonna dig a little deep here...I wanna hear Emotion Detector. Never been played live and I LOVE that solo. For some reason, it hits me.

Yes! The Pass would be great, as well as Marathon!

I'd like to hear the FULL version of Passage to Bangkok, not in a medley.

Haven't heard Trees in a while

 Did you all see that thing from Rolling Stone mag about "Rush" being the #1 "Guilty Pleasures" band (the band everyone most loves to hear behind closed doors). Alice Cooper talked about this on his radio show last week and he expressed surprise by it because he thinks that they actually have quite a bit of good material. I'm not discounting Alice Cooper's take but what he says implies that the list is actually a slam on the group. Frankly, I find it as a major complement to the three of them because it means that people REALLY love Rush and like their stuff, but are just too damn afraid to admit it for some dumb ass reason. As if they just weren't "cool" to listen to. Whatever. That's Rolling Stone and the influence of the music industry for you.

And if you ask me, Rolling Stone mag is backpedaling to get on Rush's good side because something tells me that Rush is soon to become "cool" again and they need to be able to show support of them so they can pimp them when that time comes.

I don't consider them a "guilty pleasure" - they are "always a pleasure" to listen to. :D :D :D :D :D

Neil has reportedly commented on the band not feeling constrained about the set list and that they intend to bring out stuff that hasn't been played in a long time or played live, ever. The hint Neil gave the reporter was '1979'. 8)

Well, that means "Circumstances" is a gimme as well as a piece of "Cygnus: Book I" in instrumental-only form.

Anything from the mid to late 80's is simply not going to cut it this time around. I like that :D Back to the basics!

Technically PeW was closer to '79 than Hemispheres (released Jan 1, 1980) so maybe we'll get "Entre Nous." That would be a treat. I dig "Circumstances" and all, but I dunno if Geddy can hit those chorus notes anymore.

From the new album, "Far Cry" and "Monkey Business" are shoo-ins. I'd also like to hear "The Way The Wind Blows," and "We Hold On" (which I love) and "Workin' Them Angels" & "Spindrift" (which I only sorta like, but maybe hearing 'em live will kick 'em up a few notches for me.)

Aug 6, USANA Amphitheater, Salt Lake City UT. 7th row, Geddy's side. Can't wait! :D
