Need some suggestions Rush fans!

Postby Angiekay » Fri May 25, 2007 4:08 am

We have been playing "Far Cry" on our station for quite a while now and my pd asked me what song I would suggest for a follow up single. I'm having a hard time picking!!! What song would you guys like to hear next on the radio from this album?(we probably won't play the instrumentals or I would have picked Monkey Business already)

Thanks!

Maybe it's just because I'm stuck on it...but I'd pick Bravest Face.

Excuse the interruption, but I'd pick Faithless.

"We Hold On" could work. Short, catchy, cool riffs. "Workin' Them Angels" has a semi-radio-friendly vibe too.

Otherwise, I'd second "Bravest Face."

Any of the instrumentals would be my first 'druther, but otherwise Faithless, Workin' Them Angels, and Bravest Face would work well. Still love Far Cry, though. 8)

My first suggestion would be TMMB, as it's probably the best instrumental I've heard in years. But, if you can't play that, I'd suggest 'We Hold On'.

Exactly...great chorus... perfect for classic rock format. (Very Floyd-like)

This is radio, though, so it's gotta appeal to the masses. Again, I'd choose Faithless.

Agree to disagree I guess. Let's compromise...Armor And Sword even though it's pretty long. :-)

I would vote for "Faithless". Doesn't the band and record company decide what the followup single is though?

Looks like the band has chosen The Larger Bowl as the next "official" single:

LMAO...ah, my program director feels vindicated! This was the next song he wanted and I've been trying to steer him away from it. Guess that is why he is the pd and I'm the pion! lol!

It's a good tune, but it's not the one I would have chosen either.

So...turns out they're going for "Spindrift" instead. Or first, anyway.

Bizarre choice, IMO.
