Andrew should consider moving the forum underneath the Journey forum. You have to scroll down to even see the Rush forum. I like Styx, but I like Rush better.

Nice idea...but I think we need to make this board a little more active first. :D

There should be more people in here. This is one of the best bands ever. I wonder if the guys in the band know about the site. I found it when my wife started posting on the Journey site and told me Rush was in here.

Sad fact is, almost everybody hangs out in the Journey forum. Post anywhere else, and it may be days before anyone replies...if you get a reply at all.

Well I can get behind this!

Seems you've been looking for people to comment on Rush, and having registered for the boards today, I think I can help out with that!

I'm a big Rush fan too, and my favorite Rush tune is "Prime Mover". Love that bass! I'm chomping at the bitt to hear some new stuff as well. I check out Neil's website on occasion and like someone else mentioned, sounds like something will be out in 2007. Til then, I've been diggin' these DVDs! Rush in Rio and R30 are awesome. I think it's great how these guys are so technically brilliant, yet have so much fun on stage and all have these very interesting personalities. Even my wife, who's never been into Rush, watched the documentary portion of Rush in Rio and thought they were very cool guys.

Also read Neil's book The Healing Road which was very good too. It mighta been a little heavy on all the letters for my taste though. I much preferred the narrative parts of his book rather than the personal letters to Brutus, which sometimes just repeated what he'd just narrated. Other than that though, it certainly gives one an insight into this brilliant drummer's mind.

These guys are cooler every year and I can't wait to hear some new stuff!

You know, I didn't even realise there was a Rush forum here, until a few days ago. I spend most of my time in the various Journey forums (not just MR). However, Rush have been my No. 1 band ever since I first saw them in 1978. I don't have a favourite period particularly (or maybe I do, but it tends to change depending on mood) - I just like the quality of the lyrics and song structures, the musicianship throughout the band and the quality of their live perfromances. They are the whole package.

With the new tour just announced we already have tickets for four of the UK shows in October and, depending on work commitments, I may try and catch one of the US shows too.

Once upon a time when the Rush forum on MR.com was very young, I was in there getting it going with a handful of others (Kenny, doggy, Jonny B, etc...). At one time in 02-03, the Rush forum was THE hottest forum on MR.com, but then I took a two year hiatus because of school and our forum went into the pooper (it's hard to get a hot forum when your group isn't doing that much). Now, with the group on the verge of releasing a new album that may very well be one of the hottest of the year, the forum may be showing signs of life.

It also helps when your group (ie. Journey) is in major turmoil with lead singers swapping around. It's a major hotbed of controversy.

It should be a very enjoyable summer in here! :D
