Some Rush dates

Postby Angiekay » Wed Mar 21, 2007 12:42 am

Not anywhere freakin close to me!

The Rush fan site rushisaband.com has come up with a partial North American itinerary that starts June 13th in Atlanta at the HiFi Buys Amphitheatre and runs for 22 dates before wrapping up September 15th at the Bell Centre in Montreal. But it should be taken with some caution, since all the previous rumors had the tour starting in mid-June at the Starwood Amphitheatre in Antioch, Tennessee, even though all concerts have been cancelled and the property is being sold to a real estate developer.
The Rush itinerary, from rushisaband.com (subject to change):
June 13 - Atlanta, GA - HiFi Buys Amphitheatre
June 15 - West Palm Beach, FL - Sound Advice Amphitheatre
June 16 - Tampa, FL - Ford Amphitheatre At The State Fairgrounds
June 18 - Raleigh, NC - Walnut Creek Amphitheatre
June 19 - Charlotte, NC - Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre
June 23 - Bristow, VA - Nissan Pavilion (confirmed)

June 27 - Mansfield, MA - Tweeter Center
June 29 - Scranton PA - Toyota Pavilion At Montage Mountain

July 2 - Wantagh, NY - Nikon At Jones Beach Theater
July 4 - Darien Center, NY - Darien Lake Six Flags Performing Arts Center
July 7 - Holmdel, NJ - P.N.C. Bank Arts Center
July 9 - Uncasville, CT - Mohegan Sun Arena
July 27 - Phoenix, AZ - Cricket Pavilion
July 28 - Las Vegas, NV - MGM Grand Garden Arena

While Rush has made no official announcement about tour plans, information continues to leak out. Dates have already been confirmed at the Nissan Pavilion in Bristow, Virginia, on June 23rd and the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado, on August 8th, and now a June 25th date has been announced, for the Post-Gazette Pavilion in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania. Tickets for all three shows go on sale next Saturday (March 31st) at 10 a.m. local time.

Interestingly, Ticketmaster no longer has any of the confirmed shows listed on its website. However, the TicketsNow ticket broker is advertising the following dates:

June 23 - Bristow, VA - Nissan Pavilion
June 29 - Scranton, PA - Toyota Pavilion At Montage Mountain
July 4 - Darien Center, NY - Darien Lake Six Flags Performing Arts Center
July 8 - Holmdel, NJ - P.N.C. Bank Arts Center
July 27 - Phoenix, AZ - Cricket Pavilion
August 8 - Morrison, CO - Red Rocks Amphitheatre
The fan-run website rushisaband.com has updated its Rush tour list, noting a change of date for Holmdel, New Jersey, from July 7th to July 8th, and for Dallas, from August 10th to August 17th. The site has also added new shows in Noblesville, Indiana, on August

AngieKay, dear, be careful getting too hung up on those dates. I know that Ed's got some great inside information and readily posts it up on his site, but a couple of those dates that were posted that were up on ticketmaster.com have now been completely pulled. I think that there is so much anticipation for their tour that some misleading unofficial information is getting out. I believe that the group has pulled all dates in lieu of getting the official dates out within the week.

The official site should post their full tour date package on Monday. They are always about 3-4 months ahead in terms of ticket sale openings to concert dates, and we're damn close to getting to a drop dead date. I'm in as much anticipation here in K.C. as anyone out there, but we have to be patient and wait for www.rush.com to post the dates. I wouldn't even trust ticketmaster.com right now.

I'm banking on an early August date now. :D

I didn't post it as the end all, be all valid information. I just posted it for a little insight.

Everyone in Nashville is sick that Starwood closed, and those of us Rush fans here are sick that Rush won't be playing at Starwood this summer, or probably not playing here at all. It's hard to believe that even though Rush's tour manager lives here, they might not play here. Their shows have always drawn large crowds here. We're used to them always playing here. Sickening.
It's really hard considering the first rumored group of dates had Nashville listed first again, like on the R30 tour, only to find out a couple weeks later that Starwood was being shut down.
