If YOU could make the "S&A" set list...

Thanks to Grotelul for the idea :D

:idea: If YOU could make the "Snakes & Arrows" set list, what would you put on it? I'm guessing that the following songs from S&A will be played and thus included in your set list: Far Cry, The Main Monkey Business, Spindrift, Workin' Them Angels, and perhaps Faithless.

Assuming they'd play as much music as the "VT" & "R30" tour, my "Dream Set List" - probably not even close to the S&A set list - would be like this:

<Opening Set>

1. "Opening Jam Melody": Finding My Way, Cygnus X-1, Hemispheres
2. Vapor Trail
3. Far Cry
4. Spindrift
5. Freewill
6. Chemistry
7. Everyday Glory
8. The Main Monkey Business
9. Superconductor
10. The Camera Eye
<Break>

< Closing Set>

1. Tom Sawyer (some tunes are simply staples!)
2. The Seeker
3. Workin' Them Angels
4. Nocturne
5. Faithless
6. Virtuality
7. Neil's Solo
8. Resist (unplugged)
9. Hope (unplugged)
10. 2112 - Overture and Temples
11. Kid Gloves
12. Crossroads
13. Limelight

<Encore Set>

1. Working Man
2. By-Tor & the Snowdog
3. The Spirit of Radio

Again, there's NO FREAKIN' WAY they'd play all of what's listed here, but there's nothing wrong with dreaming :D :D :D

What about you :?: :?: :?:

:shock: over 130 views on NO ONE puts what they would want for a setlist?!?!?! :?

i would keep the songs from the new album and all others would be ALL songs that they have NEVER performed-they could choose the songs and surprise me!

I'm going to see them for the first time at the Hollywood Bowl July 23. As long as they do La Villa Strangiato, they can spend the rest of the time doing whatever the hell they want and I'll be wet-my-pants happy. Would also like to hear The Enemy Within, The Analog Kid, Time And Motion, Face Up, Cold Fire...

There are two kinds of music - rock, and roll.

Favorites: Def Leppard (Pyromania = Best album ever), Rush, Journey (minus the turmoil), Nickelback, 3 Doors Down, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Night Ranger, Live, Collective Soul

Would be surprized if they put La Villa, 2112, The Trees, & Closer... back in the set this tour. They've tried
numerous times over the last few tours to give those songs a 'breather'.

SPOILER SPACE.....

Yeah, I'm actually pleased that they've taken most of their 2nd & 3rd-tier hits off the table for this tour, keeping only the essential crowd-pleasers and devoting the rest to rarities and new material. The last two tours were greatest-hitsy enough...it's time to get back to what they've always done best: push forward.

My only nitpicks with the current set list are "Summertime Blues" (the covers thing was fun once, but that was enough) and "Natural Science," (love the tune, but they've beat it to death over the last few tours. Time for a change.) Given my druthers, I'd choose "Marathon," "Fly By Night," and an acoustic version of "Presto" to replace them.
