We, as Rush fans, are so fortunate....

I see tons of chaos in other forums in regards to previous band members. In fact, it seems to be the most desired subject to discuss. I'm so grateful that our guys have been together so long and have never once threatened to quit or even stray. (If I'm wrong on this, feel free to correct me.) I guess it just goes to show that to have a successful band, all the members have to get along and yet respect each other when space is needed. This is one of the many reasons they are my favorite band. I feel grateful that they have saved us from such drama.... Thoughts???

I know there has been internal strife within the band before but like any friendship that is a normal thing. That they persevere and continue to produce quality music speaks volumes about them.

Yeah, if Rutsey had remained in the band they probably would've made it big-time!

Well...I gotta say...that's why GUP was such a dismal album. They were thinking about quitting. Listen to Kid Gloves...that will explain a lot. :-)

They've made the test of time...true players and artists...these guys should send other bands a how to video...my first show was this year at the shoreline in california ...I was amazed..They tore it up and looked like they truely enjoyed being there and together.

That's one of the things I love about them. You know they're up there working their butts off, but they enjoy doing it. (My grammer/spelling teacher would love that one) If only I could have a job that I enjoyed so much even after 30+ years. I have all of Neil's books and several that were written about the band. The more I get to know them, the more fascinated I am. There was some gossip going around about this being their last tour, but I seriously doubt it. If it was, they would have promoted it as such if for no other reason than to boost ticket sales. So, I will sit and patiently wait for another album and another chance to see them live...

I def. agree... I saw RUSH in Saratoga this year on the Snakes & Arrows tour. Aside from Genesis who I saw a week ago, the RUSH experience was one of the best concerts of my life, great performers, and truly classy people, which is something that can't be said for some of my other favorite bands. :(
