Just counting down the minutes till I can leave work and go grab Clockwork Angels. Woo Hoo! Is it strange to be so obsessed with music at 53?

That's OK. I enjoy the ball busting and laughs on these boards. By the way, many goosebump inducing moments on this CD so far. Even with low quality rips.

If you have a good system in your car, put Clockwork Angels (track) on full blast. That's when I REALLY noticed a few "new" things.

My car system is a decent factory setup. Much better than what came with cars years ago, but my main system at home and my portable earphones (wife muting) are where it's at. Will be cranking it tonight!

Just listened to the CD I burnt with those files...they're not far off. Tiny little nuances that I seem to catch, that most people don't pay attention to. You might, as well...but these MP3's are rather good.

Trust me. If you invest in some REALLY good speakers or headphones, the differences are stark. The instruments do NOT sound realistic. The strings sound like crap and are all mashed together with the other instruments. There is no separation of the instruments during congested passages with lots going on. Other than that they sound good

The mp3s were great for their purpose, though.

Kinda like when I got Journey's Arrival about a year early. The sound quality was awful, but I got to know the songs.

I strictly wanted to hear the songs but the sound quality was driving me crazy knowing how much better it really was going to sound. So I guess I'm still excited even though I've heard it!

I believe there is a version with high res 24/96 files on Blu-Ray also coming out. Have to try and find it.

Much better sound. Everything is much clearer and defined. You can pick out all the layered parts better. It's such a kick ass CD. Could it possibly debut at Number 1 on the charts? It's number 1 on Amazon MP3 downloads!

I bet this will hit the top 5 on the charts. Not saying number 1, 'cause there ARE morons out there.

But there are less and less of the morons buying music. They are too busy texting and playing video games and shit. It doesn't take enormous sales to crack the #1 spot nowadays. Let's hope for a miracle.

Either way...it's awesome to see Rush become cool, and Juhnee become a punchline.
