Back around 2002/2003 I was up in Minneapolis for the summer. WCCO carries all the Minnesota Twins games on radio. One of their sponsers is Sherwin Williams Paint. They must use some sort of subliminal message because even before the all star game I was at my local Sherwin Williams purchasing paint. The first time I went into the store I was just trying to figure out what color to paint the interior of my house. My local Shrewin Williams expert sold me on a color called Nacoma Maroon. As I went over to get the painting tape, in the aisle was none other than Steve Perry. We made some small talk and I wished like crazy I would have gotten an autograph.

Kicking myself for not getting Steves autograph but knowing that Steve Perry is a creature of habit I returned exactly one week later at the exact same time to the paint tape aisle. Looking up I spotted Steve. He 'Remembered Me' ( other Journey singer), and I asked him for an autograph. He stated that he could do better than that.

The next thing I knew there was Steve Perry in my living room painting my entire house. I sat and watched TV the entire time while he painted. The guy worked his ass off. He would sing while he worked and it even got to the point where I would have to shush him so I could hear shows like the Sopranos, NYPD Blue etc....

One day I did tape record him singing Bakers Street, I Am Woman, The Night Chicago Died, Seasons In The Sun, Little Willy, Love Is Like Oxygen & some Partridge Family tune. His singing used up an entire BASF tape.

I never did get his autograph but the above renditions of Steve singing these 'classics?' are priceless.

Never in my life did I believe that Steve Perry would paint my entire home.

Have any of you ever seen him at a Sherwin Williams??

Does he do this all over the country??

All I know is the guy can sing, he's one hell of a painter, and he works his ass off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
