And Cain and that ever so classy Schon denied JSS entry into their European theater gigs too, after JSS was fired. JSS took the high road, and tried to remain friends., while those two scumbags turned their collective backs on him. Jeff saved their asses, saved them 2 million dollars apiece and a failed tour, and he can't come in and watch their show? What a total joke Journey has become.

Cain is anything but classy. You know not what you speak of. Cain doesn't have half the class of Perry.

If he was fired so unceremoniously and all that shit, why would JSS WANT to go to their show Dean????

Because he is a stand up guy, and took the high road, and wanted to remain friends, or at least try to. He was in the same town they were in so decided to go. You would think if the guy had the balls to go to the back stage door and get in, they would let him in. Nooooope.

Where's the interview where Jon Cain talks about this? I never saw it and I'd like to read what JC said.

I don't post here much anymore for various reasons, but that tour list is very inaccurate. Probably tentative at best. I guess the concert I went to in St. Louis in 1994 for that tour, was just my imagination.

For those who have nothing good to say about Perry, we've heard it hundreds of times I'm sure. You don't want Perry fans saying anything bad about the so called band of merry brothers, who can't admit that they are a tribute to their old selves, so stop ragging on Perry Ad-Nauseum for stuff that happened or not, years ago.
Without ego, we have no pride in what we are saying.

Whaaaaaaaaat. I don't get all this sudden Jon-love. That dude never looked that great to me. At all.

Then again, a bunch of loons always drool over Steev-circa-'86, and I can't see anything exactly attractive there either.

....and I probably just made multiple enemies with this post alone.

Soto dug his own grave on that one. He let himself, you and a few others embarrass the band one too many times I suspect. Telling JT to fuck off while getting on the tour bus, drinking Def Lippard's beer and laughing at them, leaked soundchecks, sensitive personal information about band members spilling on to MR and a whole host of other small petty offenses added up, dude. Those were all a reflection on Soto as you guys were his guests.

Soto is a good dude. I really believe that, but he really fucked up his time in Journey. I think if he could do it all over again it would be much different. He couldn't say "No!" and he needed to.

I'm with you 50-50 on this one. I think watching their show would have done no good. However, I think they needed to face him and, at the very least, give him some sort of explanation. However, I don't see that as anything other than their choice. Perry and Cain had been part of something HUGE. And that something, Journey, was on hold and I suspect Jon just wanted to know what Journey's status was. Soto, unfortunately, knew his status.

Even more of a joke than when they were on the heels of Tapegate, had answered no questions about it, and you were bull horning for them and proclaiming the newly formed Soto-led lineup to be the best ever? But now, they're evil guys because you're chum got booted? Sounds like an amount of sour grapes to make enough Boone's Farm to get the whole ghetto drunk!

Again, you don't know the entire story. You weren't part of that time. I was Neal's guest half the time. Neal invited me to Boston, his idea. He flew me there. He called me several times and we spoke. Sure Jeff and I lived 10 mins away from each other, but like Tapegate, this wasn't just the singers' fault. And as for pounding Lippards beer, I plead guilty. I messed up, but I won't tell JT to fuck off anymore- I'll just hit him in the face and laugh.

Perhaps, but Journey needed the internet exposure. Like many have said here before, MR isn't that big of a bullhorn. Soto understood the Web, whereas Jon and Neal didn't. JSS was wired and the rest of the band, as evidenced by their archaic shit assed web page was so far behind the times then.

I admit I was drunk or high or both when I said that shit. They were good though, and they grew balls then. They're decent now, never will be bad, but they are back to vaginas instead of testes the way I see it.

There are some things that most here do not and will never know about the intricacies of what really happened. It was just so sewage like, it makes my skin crawl.

Good points and information, Dean. I apologize for jumping the gun on the first thing you quoted. I didn't know that.

Are we talking about the Perry snubbing Cain incident from 1994?
