I could never make it. I moved to Atlanta from Florida, and in November I was begging everybody to keep the windows closed. I was freezing. It was only fall.

I love winter vacations, but could never ever live up north. I would be very depressed by the gray winters.

It's nice to see Steve having such a great laugh! In later pictures, he looks so somber some times.

I just had to butt in a say something about those pictures on the TBF CD.

I always thought they all looked too somber, but Steve looked more sad then somber.

Then when I saw that picture where Steve is laughing so hard that his head is tosed back and the others have grins on thier faces.

All I can say is that maybe the photogher told a good joke or said something to crack them up and break that mood they were in.

Also, TBF is one of my favorite Journey CDs. I don't know, maybe it's because it's that last one with Steve, but every song on it is great.

It's a funny thing, the title Trial By Fire, means to be tested , and it's sad and ironic that thier faith in each other was the real test here.

Too bad, they couldn't work it out, I mean the tour and Steve's recovery from his surgery, and all.

After all of that, the CD went to what #3 on Billboard charts when it came out and the only song they were ever nonimated for a Grammy was

"When You Love A Women", that had to say something. Like we your fans want you guys back and we can wait for a tour when everyone is well enough.

But instead now we only have memories of what used to be.

yeah, THAT photo- he looks completely paranoid and scared in it. WHY did they use that? There were better photos from that session...

I haven't seen any other pics from that session. Do you know where I could find them? I checked out your myspace page. Are you really from Everett, Washington? I have two friends who live there now. I got to visit them in 2001 when they first went out there to work for Boeing. Washington state is very beautiful. I'm off topic, I know. I hope it isn't a problem.
