Birthday Message From Steve on Fan Asylum

JasonD wrote::D I was kicking back just now having a piece of birthday cake with Steve &, well, since we ran out of milk Steve said, "Jason, wait right here. I'll go run to the store & get us some." So then he hopped in his car & headed up to the Piggly Wiggly. Before he left, however, he told me to get online & tell all the haters in this thread to shut the blankety-blank up. That's exactly what he said: blankety-blank. Soz I said to the man, "Steve..." (I call him 'S. P. Hotness' when we're kickin' back -N- chillin', but I figured you guys wouldn't know him by that name soz I gotta go with "Steve" when I tell this story.) Anyway, soz I said to the man, "Steve--- WHOA! You don't wanna call your MR family a bunch of 'blankety-blanks,' now do ya?. Them's fighting words, S.P. !!!" Soz then Steve says to me, "Jas, I had it up to HERE with all them ingrates a bitchin' & a moaning year after year about how I'm s'posed to spend MY birthday. BlueJeanGirl is right----That's why I wrote that song about her." So then I said, "Slow down there, Steve, my man. Take it easy. Don't pay no never mind to what the haters have to say. I got your back."

He was okay after that.

Oh, & he also says, "Hello." :P

Nice to hear from him......
He certainly trusts and respects Lora & Cyndy to make his home there

I hope he found a dry and sunny place to spend his birthday week cause it wasn't in Southern California

G.I.Jim wrote: I just don't like Lambert. He doesn't write or co-write his own songs, and I just don't respect singers who can't even write (or co-write) their own material! I also think it was trashy as hell to kiss male band members in front of the country on national television. To each their own though... I just won't buy one of his cd's.

Woah there boy!

So I guess that's me off your Christmas card list then. Never written a lyric or composed a note in my life.

Nor did Sinatra, or Dusty Springfield, or Ella Fitzgerald to my knowledge. They may not have written or composed songs but they sure as hell sang them beautifully. But I guess they don't earn any respect 'cause they didn't compose any songs.

:P :P

Question for ya -
If there is a singer with a fabulous voice and they sing a song so beautifully that it gives you goosebumps and
a lousy songwriter sings a crappy song badly to you...............

you respect the second one?
