Well, he's sixty. He's been largely retired sing 96 (14 years) and out of the public eye. He doesn't date high-profile celebrities. Beyond the loons on the internet, who would care of a sighting or who he's seeing or not seeing in gossip rags? Those magazines and entertainment shows are geared toward those that are younger or big celebrities or musicians still out there in the public eye performing or who are trainwrecks, neither of which is Perry, who seems to lead a normal life .

It's prolly b/c he doesn't do illegal drugs, doesn't weave in & out of traffic driving drunk & wrapping his car around a tree, doesn't have eleventy-two baby mamas appearing on Oprah, doesn't embezzle money, doesn't blackmail his closest allies, doesn't beat up women or abuse children, doesn't get caught with his pants down in public rest areas, doesn't engage in bar room brawls, doesn't get himself thrown out of clubs for waving firearms in the air, doesn't launder money, doesn't solicit hookers, doesn't manufacture methamphetamines, doesn't .... okay, I'll stop.

He's just an all-around good guy & that's why people love him.

It's pretty hard to get bothered in your own house with your curtains drawn. To get bothered he'd first have to go somewhere where he could BE bothered.
He's been in the recording studio for so many years that he's insulated from the outside world.
